IF WE have to cancel you because of a local or national lockdown here at Glanusk, we will refund you or hold over your booking till restrictions are lifted and you can come and visit us.

All anglers must leave their details in the returns box or with the Estate Office before fishing commences. Details should include emergency contact details and any information you feel is relevant such as allergies or health conditions that may require treatment.

All environments contain risks and the River Usk and its surrounding area is no exception. Great care should be taken by all who visit Glanusk Estate and its facilities. This is a working estate and not all hazards can be foreseen or removed.

Access to the river should be via safe routes and is at your risk. Anglers who climb down the banks do so at their own risk. If you require please contact The Estate Office. Any restrictions will be advised by The Estate Office. If you are fishing the “Island Beat”, please ensure you have the specific access information from the Estate Office before you start fishing the beat.

There are many beautiful trees on The Estate including over 200 different cultivars of oak tree. Due to a number of reasons from time to time a bough may fall from the trees so we would advise all guests to avoid standing under, climbing, or picnicking under the trees. You will see that in some places we have roped off the areas around the trees and this is part of an on-going management programme.  However, we would ask that you avoid standing under, climbing or picnicking under all the trees on The Estate whether they are roped off or not.

Should the river be in flood or discoloured, wading is not permitted. If conditions allow anglers may wade at their own risk and a floatation device must be used.  Please note, swimming in not allowed in the river at any time.

Prior to casting anglers must check for power lines overhead and ensure that their back casting area is clear and that no other users of The Estate are in the vicinity and that the area is free from livestock.

The river banks are clearly a natural environment and the Park is grazed for the majority of the year, sheep will make paths to the river, please do not assume every mud path is a designated path to the river. The banks are naturally uneven and please be particularly careful underfoot.

Anglers are urged to consider their own health and that of the local environment.  All fishing equipment and clothing should be washed off prior to arrival on The Estate and before leaving.  Should an outbreak of a reportable disease occur in the UK, such as foot and mouth disease, you will be required to use the disinfecting facilities that will be provided by The Estate.

Please only park in the designated areas and drive on the grass only when conditions are dry.  Should your vehicle become stuck please do not cause further damage by attempting self-recovery, please seek assistance at The Estate Office.

Please take your litter home with you.  We request you do not start fires or BBQ without prior consent.  Please do not bring animals without seeking permission from the estate prior to your visit.  Please do not climb on any buildings or trees.

Other than personal images, no photographic images or video are to be taken without prior consent from The Estate.

In the event of an emergency or incident please contact the relevant emergency service (details below) then inform The Estate Office.  There is a first aid kit situated in The Estate Office and all estate vehicles are fitted with first aid kits (these are for self administration, staff are not First Aid qualified.)
