Glanusk Fishing Fly
To commemorate the long service of our late Head Keeper and Ghillie, Mr Stuart Jarvis, Iona Legge-Bourke commissioned this fishing fly in 2012. Mr Jarvis was with the Estate for 35 years, so she approached him and asked him if he would tie a Jocks Scott for her. Mr Jarvis’ fly tying skills were exceptional and as this was such a colourful and well known fly, well cast on the River Usk here, it seemed appropriate as a first edition.
Iona chose well known artist Lucy Corbett because of her style and technique to paint the fishing fly on behalf of the Estate. It also happened that in 2012, Her Majesty The Queen visited Glanusk on her Diamond Jubilee tour, altogether making it a very commemorative year.

In 2014, Harry Legge-Bourke commissioned Mr Humphrey Stanley to create this stunning artwork detailing the River Usk and all the historical buildings and monuments that are, The Glanusk Estate. This project took a great amount of time and detail to capture the beauty of this magical Estate that has been here since 1826.
