Glanusk Caravan Park is situated in a secluded part of the Glanusk Estate in the Brecon Beacons.
Whether you are here for an event or for exploring the local area you can be guaranteed a wonderful welcome to this beautiful part of Wales.
We are accessible for wheelchair users and can cater for anyone with other specific access requirements.

LEVEL ACCESS
The main Caravan Park has level access.
The pitches in the main caravan park have matting and EHU.
There is a separate disabled loo in the amenity building.
There is a disabled shower in the amenity building.
The drive to the caravan park is hard standing with a gravel top. The grass verges either side are suitable for wheelchairs unless there has been unprecedented rain.
HEARING
All staff are disability aware.
VISUAL
Lighting is generally low level subdued lighting and spaced to meet local authority restrictions, reduce the environmental impact, comply with planning permission and reduce the effect of light pollution. We suggest taking a torch with you if you leave your pitch after dark and sticking to a familiar route.

The pitch fee is per pitch for a maximum of 6 people.
We are dog friendly and assistance dogs are allowed in the amenity building.

GETTING HERE
BY CAR
Access to Glanusk Caravan Park is from the B4558 Cwm Crawnon Road only.
If you are approaching from the Brecon direction on the A40 do not turn right on the A40 at Bwlch towards Llangynidr whatever Sat Nav says as this will take you to a very narrow and impassable bridge. Instead carry on past our main gates and then turn right by the petrol station over the Crickhowell Bridge and then turn right onto the B4558 Cwm Crawnon Road.
To gain access to the park from the B4558 gate key in the code, details of which will be given to you on arrival.
To exit the park from the B4558 gate simply approach the gate slowly and they will open automatically.
There is no vehicular access to or from the A40 Main Entrance via the Glanusk Bridge.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
TRAIN We are 10 miles from Abergavenny Railway Station.
Step free access is not available at the station.
Accessible taxis should be booked prior to travel.

BUS
The local bus operator is Stagecoach Bus.
There is a bus stop in the Square in Crickhowell.
The buses from Abergavenny and Brecon stop near the Gliffaes Road which is off the A40.
There is no pavement along the A40.
ARRIVAL
15 minutes before arrival please phone the Estate Office on 01873 810414 and we will know when to meet you.
On arrival please press the gate buzzer and you will be let in and asked to drive down a tiny slope to the meeting area.
At the meeting area a member of the team will meet you, give you the Welcome Information Sheet and show you to you pitch which is accessed along a hard standing drive with shingle through 2 fields..
We will show you to your pitch and will be on hand to show you around the caravan park should you wish.
GETTING AROUND
The pitches in the main caravan park are situated around the edge of the field with a hard standing drive with shingle on top.
The drive from the caravan park to the Welcome Area is hard standing with a gravel top. The grass verges either side are suitable for wheelchairs unless there has been unprecedented rain.
There is direct access to the Monmouth and Brecon Canal from the dog walking field, however this is too steep for wheelchair users. Guests can access the canal path by leaving the park and travelling along the Cwm Crawnon Road to the Fro Bridge where they can access the canal on the left hand side before the bridge.
DOGS
Dogs are welcome and must be on leads to protect our livestock and your dog. There is a dedicated dog walking field to the left of the caravan park and plenty of walks around the Estate and in the local area.
NATURAL HAZARDS
We encourage wildlife and maintain natural surroundings where possible, so take care when walking around the site. Molehills and rabbit holes, tree roots and uneven ground are likely to be present.
