A firm favourite in the diary is the Glanusk Estate Fayre and NGS Open Garden which is traditionally held in May. Understandably the 2020 event was cancelled and the date for 2021 is confirmed as Sunday 16th May, 11am to 4pm.
The Penmyarth Gardens, Oak Collection and Glanusk Church are open to the public to wander around with the Estate Gardener on hand to answer any questions.
Businesses based on the Estate are joined by fellow artisans on the lawn, with locally sourced and produced food and drink as well as the family run tea tent.
Over the years we have welcomed guest speakers and entertainment – Terry Walton, Lynne Allbutt, An Vrombaut, Ruth Wignall, Andrew Price, Georgie Newbery, Love Lily, John Campbell Bagpiper, Rock Choir Flash Mob, Monmouth Male Voice Choir, Vaughan Bennett.
Applications are invited for the seventh Glanusk Estate Fayre and NGS Open Garden on Sunday 16th May 2021.
Over the years the event has grown from 500 visitors to over 2000 meaning businesses were seen by lots of people locally and further afield.
- There is no charge for your stand/space but we ask for a 10% donation of total profits for the NGS charity, payable at the end of the event.
- Please bring a gazebo and table. There is limited covered space.
- We will provide 2 chairs per space.
- Electricity is not provided.
- All spaces can accommodate a a 3m x 3m gazebo.
- There are to be a maximum of two people working on each stand, should you have a requirement for any additional helpers please indicate their names on the booking form.
- Set up can be on Saturday 15th May at a time agreed with Nellie and all stands must be ready for photographs by 10am on Sunday 16th May.
- The lawn is not suitable for vehicles and all exhibitors must park in the designated parking area. Unloading and loading is at a designated area with easy access to the lawn.
